The open road...and other random photos

A few favorites from the 2,276 photos that I kept.

Not sure that I'd ever seen a beaver in the wild before.

 We saw some HOT days.

The beaver's handiwork.

This would have been the last peek that the pioneers
would have seen of their Nauvoo Temple before heading west.

And a glimpse of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple

I know where Brandon got his photo bombing skills.
Like father...

 Like son.

Yazoo City has got to be one of my favorite names.

I love driving through the hill country in Texas and
seeing these elaborate entrances to ranches.
So pretty.

I love little moments like this.

Oh, and I love a good silhouette.

I'm so curious how bagged ice is "healthier than homemade."

And here is the countryside.
As seen through the windows of our minivan.

All that beauty...
but there's still no place like home.

  1. These beautiful pictures almost make me want to take a road trip. Almost! I can't believe you took so many though. And that pic of Andrew in the background is cracking me up!

And so few cars on the road.
My favorite shot is that elaborate entrance to the ranch in Texas.
