What September Looks Like

Another appropriate title for this post would be, "Our family apparently wants to join the circus."

Looks like we spent most of September jumping or standing on our hands or heads.

Look at those pointed toes.
Miss Shelley would be proud!

One of Brandon's favorite games at the beach, "Dead Body."
He would pretend to be dead and let the waves push his body around.
Creepy.

Tennis party to welcome home, Deb, my partner
from last year who has been deployed to Afghanistan
for the last nine months.  So glad to have her home!

B practicing high jumping.
Inside.
He only got injured once.

C lost her first TWO teeth this month.
Isn't she too young for this?

W and her doll were twinners one Sunday.

Labor Day party with our friends.
Our first experience with Cornhole...fun!

A scout activity on Auto Maintenance.

Girls Night Out with Jayne in town. Yippee!

My favorite quote from the Historical Museum:
COOLNESS is greatly desired by housewives.

Sister visit (part 2)

After our awesome weekend at the beach, we had a few more days here at home to hang out. Some of my favorite moments were those that don't have pictures--staying up late with Robby and Destiny and playing games after the kids went to bed.  We laughed and laughed and laughed. Mainly at Andrew and Robby's singstar duet to "Under Pressure" as well as my Jimmy Carter impression during Taboo. Ha! I'm still cracking up over it.

We also had fun seeing the sights around town. I loved showing off my awesome city.

*Pet Cemetery??  Ok, there's a back story there.  Destiny came to visit us a few times back in her younger and single days. We would go on walks around our old neighborhood and one of the places we could walk to was a real-life pet cemetery. Since that is one of her memories from previous visits, she wanted to show Robby and the girls.

Caroline and Olivia had fun on the rockers under the gazebo.

It was fun to walk around and see how
long the animals had lived.

While we were there, we saw the CRAZIEST thing.
A conjoined butterfly!
'
It's totally blurry, but can you see how it has one body?
Or at least that's what we were convinced of.
Upon further googling, I think they were mating.
I feel bad for interrupting now.

This was my favorite pet name, Smoketta Trixie.

And then it was time to say good-bye. :( We loved having them around and miss them now that they're gone. It's hard to know that we probably won't see them again until next summer. But, thankfully we have phone calls, emails, blogs, and facebook to stay in touch.

Love you guys!
Come back and see us again.
