What November Looked Like

Gorgeous sunrise during seminary.
We paused the lesson to drink in it's beauty.

Donuts for A's!

Miss Whit is ROCKIN' the 8th grade to pieces.
A Honor Roll, and Outstanding Student
in both Spanish and Chorus!

Caroline is also having a fabulous fourth grade year!
She got A honor roll, AR (reading) award, and Outstanding
student in Enrichment (media/library) and PE!

I had a new nephew born!
Destiny had her little boy, Paul.
Oh, how I want to go meet him!

Caroline has been saving up her fun money
for the past several months and had enough
to buy this Lego catamaran set.

I took the girls and Sarah to UNCG.

We got to watch a play of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

We even got to meet Violet Beauregard before the play started!
It was well done and we had a good time.
Whit and I were expecting a musical,
which it wasn't. But we still liked it a lot.

X marks the spot?

Had the Sisters over for dinner.

We hadn't seen the Blau's in WAY too long!
We met up in Hickory the day before Thanksgiving.
We found a fun bowling alley there with a great
snack bar, pool tables, and a small arcade.

It was SO good to have some cousin time!

We need to do it again soon!

Thanksgiving prep

C helped me make the Grasshopper pie.

Tiffany and Chris have moved to Idaho.
So sad for us.
There goes our Thanksgiving tradition!
Thankfully, April and Ben invited us over this year.
They have bought a new home with plenty of room.

Andrew made the turkey, as usual.
It was super moist and delicious!

The pie buffet!
My favorite!!

As soon as Thanksgiving was over,
we put up all the Christmas decorations.

These two made a great star-placing team.

B made second chair euphonium in All-County this year.
So proud of him!
We love going to the all-county concert.
It's amazing what these kids can learn in two days.

Here's one of his songs.
Be sure to look for the spoon player toward the end. Awesome!

The kids always get to choose a way to celebrate after their
concerts/performances. B usually just likes to grab a drink
or treat from Sheetz on our way home.
