We also had fun seeing the sights around town. I loved showing off my awesome city.
*Science Center
*Chuck E. Cheese's
*Historical Museum
*Pet Cemetery?? Ok, there's a back story there. Destiny came to visit us a few times back in her younger and single days. We would go on walks around our old neighborhood and one of the places we could walk to was a real-life pet cemetery. Since that is one of her memories from previous visits, she wanted to show Robby and the girls.
Caroline and Olivia had fun on the rockers under the gazebo.
It was fun to walk around and see how
long the animals had lived.
While we were there, we saw the CRAZIEST thing.
A conjoined butterfly!
'
It's totally blurry, but can you see how it has one body?
Or at least that's what we were convinced of.
Upon further googling, I think they were mating.
I feel bad for interrupting now.
This was my favorite pet name, Smoketta Trixie.
And then it was time to say good-bye. :( We loved having them around and miss them now that they're gone. It's hard to know that we probably won't see them again until next summer. But, thankfully we have phone calls, emails, blogs, and facebook to stay in touch.
Love you guys!
Come back and see us again.
Going to a pet cemetary sounds crazy. But Smoketta makes it all worth it.
ReplyDeleteWe had a great trip and Olivia and I loved reading this post. She's screaming at me as I type this :) I'm disappointed it wasn't a conjoined butterfly. I guess it was one of their birthday's ;)
ReplyDelete*Olivia is screaming at me because she wants to see the pictures and not me typing :)
ReplyDeleteLove the last photo with Brandon with all those cute little girls!
ReplyDeleteXO Mom S
I'm cracking up over the "conjoined" butterfly!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had a lot of fun. The pet cemetery is kinda sweet actually.
And just how did you explain "conjoined" to the young uns?
